Performances Inspired by Ancient Greek & Roman Sources

The APGRD (Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama) is a research project based at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Classics. We investigate performances - stage-plays, operas, ballets, puppet-shows, films, TV shows etc. - inspired by ancient texts, from Greek tragedy to Roman epic. We are interested in performances from any country, dating from antiquity to the present day.

This survey invites you to submit details of any performances that you know of, that have been inspired by ancient Greek and Roman sources. Your information will help us to improve the accuracy of our online Productions Database - so a huge thank you from all of us at the APGRD for taking the time!
